UK Swifties were feeling some serious bad blood following a disastrous Taylor Swift-themed fun run — which amounted to cardboard cutouts, fruit-filled goodie bags and a tribute singer who left after one song.
“I think Taylor Swift would be appalled,” attendee Louise Newlands, 35, told the Sun of the disastrous bash, which went down Sunday at Battersea Park in London.
The “Swiftie Run,” which is held monthly in different parts of the UK, costs $30 per person and was billed by organizer Run Fanatics as a “music-filled” 3.1-mile run to the soundtrack of the “Antihero” singer’s biggest hits.
Instead, runners were left waiting in the rain for an hour for a Swift pop-ellganger who sang one song before departing.
Swift’s reps have not responded to The Post’s request for comment
To compound matters, fans couldn’t hear the music so they opted to blast Swift’s hits from their phones instead.
Meanwhile, the decor amounted to four cardboard cutouts while the anticipated Taylor Swift goodie bags entailed a banana, apple and a bottle of water like what you’d get at the bad house on Halloween.
A spokesperson for Run Fanatics attributed this paltry prize to a “last-minute supplier issue” that left them unable to provide guests with Swift-themed treats.
Runners were promised storage for their belongings, only to find their stuff dumped in a huge pile in a field, the Sun reported.
Unfortunately, the run itself was as poorly-realized as the theme.
Newlands said she waited an hour for a jersey before employees sent her around the track in the wrong direction.
“It’s the kids I feel sorry for — they all looked so cold and wet and miserable,” lamented the disillusioned Brit.
“Everyone was miserable…It felt like they had exploited a loyal fan base,” seconded Swiftie Gemma Marshall, 38.
She dubbed the shindig the “Fyre Festival of 5Ks” in reference to the ill-fated 2017 luxury music festival that notoriously stranded thousands of revelers on an island with nothing but meager food and emergency tents.
Despite the complaints, the organizers felt like the experience was overall successful and that they were just experiencing “teething” issues in the embryonic stages of their Swiftie run series.
Although they admitted that “some aspects could be improved” and promised to increase staff numbers, deliver jerseys in advance to prevent shortages, and also find a new venue where the music could be heard throughout the course, among other measures.
“We’re committed to making every Swiftie Run an unforgettable experience, and we’re already working on enhancements to ensure future events are even better,” a rep for the race declared. “Thank you to everyone who joined us—we can’t wait to welcome you to the next one!”
This isn’t the first time a Swift-themed event that has backfired spectacularly.
In September, Australian Swifties were treated to a “bizarre” and “terrible” Taylor Swift tribute concert where performers read cue cards on the ground and swore in front of children.
