WNBA star Angel Reese expressed disappointment and astonishment in the wake of the election results on Tuesday. She took to social media to share her feelings, stating that she was “speechless” and “disappointed” in the voters in the U.S. Reese also expressed disappointment as a woman and vowed to pray and remain positive moving forward. Her colleague, Natasha Cloud, also expressed disappointment in the outcome, particularly regarding Vice President Kamala Harris losing to Trump.

Yankees great Roger Clemens also shared his thoughts on the election results, specifically addressing those who had threatened to leave the country if Trump won re-election. Clemens criticized the privilege of celebrating the results, highlighting larger issues of racism, misogyny, and hatred of women that he believes are deeply rooted in America. He expressed concern for his fundamental human rights and emphasized the need to address these underlying issues in order for the country to progress.

Fox News called key states such as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin for Trump, helping him reach the 270 electoral vote threshold needed for victory. In addition to these crucial states, Trump also carried several other states including Idaho, Montana, and Texas. As of early Wednesday, Trump had secured 277 electoral votes compared to Harris’ 226. He was also leading in the popular vote with over 71.1 million votes to Harris’ 66.2 million.

The election results prompted strong emotions and reactions from individuals across the country, including sports figures like Angel Reese and Natasha Cloud. Reese and Cloud expressed their disappointment and concern for the future, particularly in light of the loss of Vice President Kamala Harris. Their sentiments reflected a broader sense of unease and worry about the state of the country amidst deep-rooted issues of racism and misogyny.

As the election unfolded, many Americans followed closely as states were called and electoral votes were tallied. Trump’s wins in key states such as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin ultimately contributed to his victory, securing him a second term in office. The popular vote also favored Trump, with millions of Americans casting their votes in support of his presidency.

Moving forward, the country faces a period of transition and change as a new administration prepares to take office. The election results have sparked conversations and reflections on the future of America, with individuals from various backgrounds and professions sharing their thoughts and concerns about the direction of the country. As the nation navigates this critical time, it will be essential for leaders and citizens alike to come together to address underlying issues and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future.
