A man, identified as 26-year-old Bernard Polite, was arrested and charged after attempting to shoot a pastor during a sermon at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred while Pastor Glenn Germany was delivering his sermon, and video footage captured the moment where Polite pointed a gun at the pastor. Fortunately, no shots were fired as the gun jammed, and Pastor Germany thanked God for protecting him. The church Deacon, Clarence McCallister, intervened and tackled Polite to the ground, preventing further harm.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested Polite, who is now facing charges including aggravated assault and attempted homicide. While in police custody, Polite admitted to hearing voices and stated that he was dealing with spirits before attempting to shoot someone.
