In February 2023, Theresa Jones, a Louisiana mother of three and grandmother of seven, went missing. Her daughter, Ashley Deese, learned about her mother’s disappearance from her mother’s boyfriend and reported her missing to the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jones was last seen in the Evergreen community wearing pink pajamas, leaving her phone and vehicle behind. A K9 search was conducted near her home the following day, but no evidence was found. Less than a week later, Jones was found dead in a creek by her family. Psychic medium Carolyn Clapper helped the family locate Jones’ body with the information she provided in a reading.
After law enforcement’s search for Jones had been exhausted, her daughters contacted psychic medium Carolyn Clapper for help. Clapper conducted a reading with the daughters and provided specific information about Jones’ disappearance, including the location of personal items left behind and specific landmarks. Deese was initially skeptical but was convinced of Clapper’s abilities when she accurately described details about Jones and her home. Clapper even provided step-by-step instructions for finding Jones’ body, which Deese followed successfully with the help of a compass.
Clapper was able to provide detailed instructions on where to find Jones’ remains, including specific landmarks in the area of her home. Deese followed these directions and, with the help of a friend, discovered her mother’s body near a large log in a creek. Jones was found nude from the waist down, and her jacket was nearby, as Clapper had described. Subsequent readings by Clapper also predicted the presence of drugs in Jones’ system, which was later confirmed by toxicology reports.
Authorities closed Jones’ case in August 2023, ruling her death an accidental drowning due to methamphetamine poisoning. However, Jones’ daughters disagree with this finding and are urging officials to reopen the case. They believe that further investigation, including the lack of a rape kit and fingernail scraping, is necessary to bring them justice. Clapper, who successfully located Jones’ body with her psychic abilities, expressed relief that Jones was found but also sadness for Deese, who had to make the discovery.
Despite the success of locating Jones’ remains using psychic abilities, local law enforcement has not reached out to Clapper regarding her findings. The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office did not respond to inquiries about the case. Clapper believes that her assistance in finding Jones should prompt a reexamination of the case and a more thorough investigation into her death. The family of Theresa Jones continues to seek justice for her and hopes that further examination will bring closure to their loss.
