Louise Thompson, a former cast member of Made In Chelsea, revealed that she was paid just £25 per day when she first appeared on the reality show. She claimed that the show favored badly-behaved men and made her look like a ‘weak doormat’. Louise joined the cast as Jamie Laing’s love interest and also dated her co-stars Spencer Matthews and Andy Jordan. One of the most memorable scenes involved her then-boyfriend Spencer admitting to cheating on her, saying she ‘allowed’ him to do so.

Louise Thompson left Made In Chelsea in 2020 after nine years on the show. She criticized the show, claiming that it celebrated men for mistreating women and making their female counterparts appear weak. Louise, who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and had a stoma bag fitted, discussed the challenges she faced during her time on the show. She also revealed that she felt overshadowed by the male members of the cast and was often made to look like a doormat in comparison.

Mimi Bouchard, another former cast member of Made In Chelsea, criticized the show’s producers for manipulating the young cast members. She claimed that she was paid just £50 per day when filming for long hours on the show. Mimi also mentioned that there were moments on the show that were not genuine, as the cast was pressured to create storylines for more filming days. Despite the show’s portrayal of wealthy socialites, Mimi struggled financially and had to babysit in the evenings to make ends meet.

Since leaving Made In Chelsea, Mimi Bouchard has built a successful wellness empire and runs her own company. She developed an app called Superhuman, offering guided meditations and lifestyle advice. Despite facing challenges such as alcohol and drug use at a young age, Mimi has turned her life around and is now worth ‘tens of millions of dollars’ at 27 years old. She emphasized that the reality show industry often exploits young and vulnerable individuals for entertainment purposes.

Louise Thompson shared her experience of joining Made In Chelsea as a serious student with academic friends, only to find herself engulfed in a world of nightclubs and fast cars. She described feeling out of place initially but eventually adjusted to the lifestyle portrayed on the show. Louise also discussed the emotional toll of filming break-up scenes and feeling judged by viewers for showing vulnerability on camera. Despite the challenges she faced, Louise has since pursued a successful fitness career after leaving the reality show.

Both Louise Thompson and Mimi Bouchard highlighted the financial struggles and pressures they faced while filming Made In Chelsea. They criticized the show for favoring male cast members and creating situations that exploited the vulnerabilities of the young and inexperienced participants. Their accounts shed light on the behind-the-scenes realities of reality television and the impact it can have on the mental and emotional well-being of its cast members. Despite these challenges, both women have gone on to build successful careers outside of the show and have found new paths to fulfillment and success.
