Pictures from Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region show destroyed houses after a Russian strike, with Governor Ivan Fedorov reporting two women injured. The White House dismissed Russia’s claim of Ukrainian involvement in the attack on the Crocus City concert hall, stating the Islamic State was behind it. The White House passed advance warnings of extremist attacks to Russia, including the Crocus City incident. The Russian Investigative Committee alleged suspects in the attack were funded by Ukraine, with connections to Ukrainian nationalists. Ukraine denies any involvement in the attack, and accusations have been exchanged between Russia and Ukraine regarding the incident.

Ukraine requested air defense supplies from Western allies after Russian missile attacks on energy infrastructure. Russia conducted its largest air strike on Ukraine’s energy system, causing blackouts for over a million people. Ukraine’s Defense Minister urged NATO partners to provide equipment to block incoming attacks. Russia described the attacks as “revenge” strikes for Kyiv’s attacks on Russian regions, increasing the use of ballistic missiles to strike Ukrainian cities.

Poland is close to an agreement with Ukraine over agricultural imports, a contentious issue that has led to protests from farmers. Ukraine’s increased export of agricultural produce via eastern Europe has disrupted local markets. The Kremlin faced questions about President Putin’s absence from the terror attack site in Moscow, with officials defending that it would be inappropriate to interfere with ongoing investigations. Security measures in Kyiv will be tightened after increased Russian missile attacks and threats of escalation.

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has led to heightened tensions, with multiple incidents resulting in casualties and destruction. Russian forces launched attacks on Ukrainian cities, using drones and missiles to target civilian areas. Ukrainian intelligence claimed Russia was aware of the planned terrorist attack in Moscow weeks in advance, implicating the U.S., U.K., and Ukraine. The Kremlin dismissed the idea of attacking NATO but warned F-16 fighters given to Ukraine would be legitimate targets.

Russia sentenced Pussy Riot activist Lyusya Shtein to six years in prison for anti-war posts. Russian authorities cracked down on dissent, detaining thousands for expressing anti-war sentiments. Russian officials cast doubt on the Islamic State’s involvement in the Moscow attack, alleging Western involvement instead. The death toll in the Moscow terrorist attack rose to 143, with ongoing investigations into the incident. Ukrainian officials reported Russian missile strikes in Kharkiv, using new guided bombs, leading to casualties and damages. Parliamentary requests were made to investigate Western involvement in terrorist acts against Russia.
