Kevin Costner, Sienna Miller, and Luke Wilson, along with other members of the cast of the upcoming Western film, Horizon: An American Saga, attended the world premiere of the movie at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Costner, who is also the director and writer of the film series, had initially planned to attend the premiere with just Miller, but decided to bring the other female cast members to celebrate their contributions to the film.
The premiere was attended by several members of Costner’s family as well, including Lily Costner, Hayes Logan Costner, Grace Avery Costner, Cayden Wyatt Costner, and Annie Costner. The film follows the expansion of the American West before and after the Civil War, focusing on the relationship between the settlers and Native Americans. Costner, who won Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for Dances with Wolves, writes and directs the first two chapters of Horizon, with the first film set to be released on June 28.
Earlier in the day, the Horizon cast participated in a photocall at Cannes before dazzling attendees on the red carpet with their premiere fashionwear. Other stars in attendance at the premiere included Julianne Moore and Michelle Yeoh, who are not part of the Horizon cast. The film is the latest Hollywood production to debut at the Cannes Film Festival, following films such as Megalopolis and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
