Daily and Postpartum Fitness Routine

Ciara, a mother of four, has experienced the highs and lows of postpartum weight loss over the years. She has embraced her changing body and learned to be kind to herself throughout her weight loss journey. Ciara used to focus solely on toning specific areas of her body, but now she sees the big picture and prioritizes making healthier lifestyle choices. Setting a goal of losing 60 pounds in four months after giving birth to her first child felt overwhelming to Ciara, leading her to focus on living a healthier life overall.

Following the birth of her second child, Ciara adopted an intense workout routine in order to shed the 65 pounds she gained during pregnancy. She worked out up to three times a day, combining weightlifting, high-intensity treadmill sprints, and cycling on her Peloton bike. After five months, she lost 50 pounds and eased up on her rigorous regimen. To stay accountable, Ciara often shares her weight loss journey with her social media followers, acknowledging the setbacks and challenges that come with losing pregnancy weight.

Ciara partnered with WW International after giving birth to her third child and declared that she had 48 pounds to lose. By June 2021, she had lost 39 pounds and only had 10 pounds left to reach her pre-pregnancy weight. Despite the hectic lifestyle of a mother of three, she prioritizes self-care and making healthier choices for herself and her family. In addition to focusing on weight loss, Ciara also boxes for both physical and mental benefits, finding it therapeutic during times of uncertainty.

After being diagnosed with diastasis recti following the birth of her second child, Ciara had to retrain her core muscles to reconnect and close the separation caused by pregnancy. She emphasized the importance of core workouts to address this condition. Staying true to her athletic roots, Ciara incorporates treadmill workouts into her routine and encourages others to find a rhythm that works for their body. She believes in the power of balance and teaches her children healthy eating habits while allowing them to indulge in treats occasionally.

Ciara emphasizes the importance of eating several small meals throughout the day to keep cravings in check and maintain a well-oiled metabolism. She also stresses the significance of staying hydrated and consuming enough water to support workouts and see desired results. Combining cardio, weight lifting, and plyometrics in her fitness routine, Ciara engages in a variety of workouts to hit every target area. Whether working with a trainer or riding her Peloton bike, Ciara prioritizes her physical health to feel good and set a positive example for her children.
