Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, expressed sorrow over Tata’s passing and acknowledged his significant contributions to India’s economy and society. Maharashtra’s chief minister announced that Tata would receive a state funeral, recognizing him as an invaluable gem and honoring his legacy.

Throughout his tenure as chairman of Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012, Tata oversaw the group’s revenue surpassing $100 billion, marking a period of significant growth and expansion. His legacy as a business leader, philanthropist, and mentor to future business leaders in India remains a key part of his enduring impact.
