Gabriel Attal, in campaign for Valérie Hayer until the last moment, expresses the “pride” of the presidential camp and praises the “practical Europe”. On the last day of the campaign, Valérie Hayer organized a “republican banquet” in Saint-Denis-d’Anjou, in Mayenne, her hometown, with the presence of the Prime Minister who has been involved in supporting the candidate of the presidential camp until the very end. Attal emphasized the importance of being clear and truthful with the French people throughout the campaign and highlighted the crucial role Europe plays in shaping the future. He commended the mobilization of Macronist activists during the campaign and stressed the significance of unity with European partners in facing global challenges such as trade competition, climate change, and conflict.

Attal also emphasized the importance of being pro-European and the benefits of closer collaboration with European partners for France’s prosperity. He warned against the possibility of a minority block forming in the European Parliament if far-right parties were to win in the elections, echoing Emmanuel Macron’s concerns from earlier in the week. Attal expressed pride in the presidential camp for having Valérie Hayer as their candidate, praising her talent, competence, and passion for Europe. Hayer’s authenticity as a local politician from Mayenne who went on to become a prominent figure in European politics was highlighted as a reason for confidence in her leadership.

The Prime Minister took to Instagram to make a final appeal to young voters, highlighting the concrete benefits that the European Union brings to its citizens. He cited examples such as quality control regulations on condoms, consumer protection measures for gaming consoles, and the implementation of a universal phone charger standard. He also defended Hayer’s platform, which includes initiatives aimed at youth such as the Pass rail, increased funding for medical research, and the inclusion of abortion rights in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. He urged voters to support Hayer in the upcoming election on June 9th.

Attal reiterated his warning about the threat posed by the rise of far-right parties in Europe and emphasized the need for strong leadership to counter these trends. He underscored the importance of the upcoming election in shaping the future of Europe and the role that France can play in promoting unity and progress within the EU. The campaign’s focus on practical achievements and tangible benefits for citizens was highlighted as a key message for voters to consider when casting their ballots. In concluding his remarks, Attal reiterated his confidence in Hayer’s abilities and called on supporters to rally behind her in the final push towards victory.
