Woman contacts emergency services to report drug dealer for selling substandard methamphetamine: ‘Did not meet expectations’

Sarah Harris, a 34-year-old woman from Indiana, found herself in trouble with the law after calling 911 twice in January to report that the methamphetamine she had been supplied with was not what she was expecting. She alleged that the drugs made her feel as though she was having a heart attack, leading her to contact the police in the city of Bedford to complain about the bad batch of meth.

Harris handed the drugs over to the police at her home, hoping that they could test the authenticity of the substance. She admitted to snorting a line of the meth and immediately felt that something was different when it touched her skin and nostrils. According to the arrest affidavit, she described the painful sensation as being unlike the “normal meth” she had smoked previously with a friend.

Despite her illegal activity, Harris was willing to admit her involvement as long as it meant that her drug dealer would face retribution for supplying her with bad meth. She expressed her desire to turn in the person responsible for the substance that had caused her harm. As a result of her candid honesty, Harris was charged with meth possession, which is considered a felony with a possible maximum sentence of 30 months in prison.

This recent arrest is not the first time Harris has had a run-in with the law. She has prior convictions for a variety of offenses, including theft, meth possession, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. These previous charges indicate a pattern of criminal behavior on her part, leading to further legal trouble with her involvement in drug-related activities.

The case involving Sarah Harris highlights the dangers of drug use and the consequences of involving law enforcement in criminal activities. Despite her intentions to report her drug dealer for providing her with bad meth, her actions ultimately led to her own arrest and felony charge. This situation serves as a cautionary tale of the potential legal repercussions that can arise from drug use and interaction with illegal substances.

By calling the police to report her unsatisfactory drug experience, Sarah Harris inadvertently incriminated herself and exposed her involvement in illegal drug activity. The decision to reach out to law enforcement as a means of seeking retribution against her drug dealer ultimately backfired and resulted in her facing serious legal consequences. This case serves as a reminder of the risks associated with drug use and the importance of understanding the potential legal ramifications of such behavior.
