The Oregon Ducks continued their dominance in college football by securing the No. 1 ranking in the latest Associated Press top 25 poll after a major victory over Michigan, with quarterback Dillon Gabriel impressing with 294 passing yards and two touchdowns. While Oregon emerged as a clear winner, other teams had to fight hard for their victories. Georgia narrowly defeated Florida, Ohio State outscored Penn State, and Houston pulled off a surprising upset against Kansas State. Here are some of the notable winners and losers from the 10th week of the college football season.

Among the winners were teams like Colorado, who now have a path to the college football playoff after Iowa State and Kansas State suffered losses. South Carolina pulled off a significant upset by defeating Texas A&M, while Vanderbilt became bowl eligible by beating Auburn. Ryan Day, the head coach of Ohio State, scored a major victory against Michigan, a significant milestone for the Buckeyes. Miami quarterback Cam Ward delivered an outstanding performance with 400 passing yards and four touchdowns in a win over Duke. Iowa running back Kaleb Johnson and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart also had standout performances, potentially positioning themselves as Heisman contenders.

On the other hand, Clemson faced a disappointing loss to Louisville, jeopardizing their chances of reaching the ACC title game. Georgia, despite defeating Florida, faced offensive struggles, particularly at the quarterback position. Penn State’s head coach James Franklin continued to struggle against top-ranked teams, while Iowa State suffered their first loss of the season against Texas Tech, tightening the race for the Big 12 title game. Texas A&M’s SEC title hopes were nearly shattered after a blowout loss, while Florida State’s poor performance against North Carolina extended their losing streak.

Overall, the 10th week of college football showcased some remarkable victories, upsets, and standout performances by individual players. Oregon solidified their position as the top team in the nation, while other teams like Colorado, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt celebrated significant wins. Coaches like Ryan Day and players like Cam Ward, Kaleb Johnson, and Jaxson Dart made headlines for their impressive performances. However, Clemson, Georgia, Penn State, Iowa State, Texas A&M, and Florida State all faced setbacks, highlighting the competitiveness and unpredictability of college football.
