Alexander “Nico” Fanjul, a Palm Beach sugar heir, attended a luxury rehab called All Points North in Colorado after his February arrest for domestic violence, including allegations of strangulation and robbery. The facility offers trauma and addiction therapy, along with mental health support. Fanjul participated in skiing activities during his time at the rehab, which are part of the experiential therapy offered. The facility requires clients to focus on their recovery full-time, with over 40 hours of therapy work per week.
In addition to skiing, All Points North offers other activities like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and cross country skiing to clients in the Partial Hospitalization Program. The facility emphasizes the importance of working on mental health and recovery, rather than treating the experience as a vacation or self-care retreat. A variety of therapeutic activities are available to help clients achieve healing and progress in their recovery journey. The facility also includes amenities like a hot tub, yoga room, and spa for clients to enjoy.
Fanjul’s lawyer declined to comment on his pending case, but court documents revealed that he was granted permission to continue his treatment out of state, first in Idaho. The treatment program includes regular drug and alcohol testing to monitor Fanjul’s progress. Following the court’s decision to allow him to reside in Idaho, Fanjul was reported to have traveled there to continue his treatment. His $180,000 bail was posted after the February arrest.
Previous abuse allegations have been made against Fanjul by other women, including his ex-girlfriend Tinsley Mortimer. In the past, Mortimer had accused Fanjul of domestic violence incidents that resulted in hospitalization. Fanjul’s family denied the allegations at the time, and it remains unclear if charges were ever filed in connection with those incidents. Mortimer herself was arrested for trespassing on Fanjul’s property in 2016.
Fanjul’s recent arrest was prompted by an unidentified woman who claimed she was physically assaulted and feared for her life. Charges included Felony Domestic Battery for Strangulation, False Imprisonment, Robbery, Tampering with or Harassing Victim, Criminal Mischief, and possession of cocaine. Fanjul has denied the allegations made against him. He was granted permission to continue his treatment in Idaho under the conditions of complying with drug and alcohol testing requirements, and could face further legal action depending on the outcome of the investigation.
