The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) has announced that the water supply to three districts will be cut off for 19 hours starting tomorrow at 2:00 PM until Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. This interruption is due to the need to connect a displaced water pipeline in the construction site of the Mithatpaşa Street car park, which is being built by the Ümraniye Municipality.
The neighborhoods that will be affected by the water cut-off are as follows: Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Kuleli, Yavuztürk, Bahçelievler, Güzeltepe, Kandilli, Küçüksu, Çengelköy, and Kirazlıtepe in Üsküdar; Atatürk, Tantavi, İstiklal, Atakent, Armağanevler, Site, Saray, Namık Kemal, Esenevler, Finanskent, Kazım Karabekir, Dumlupınar, Elmalıkent, Topağacı, İnkılap, and Hekimbaşı in Ümraniye; and the upper parts of Yeni Mahalle in Beykoz.
Residents of these neighborhoods are advised to make necessary preparations for the water cut-off and to store enough water for their needs during this period. ISKI urges residents to use water wisely and efficiently to avoid any inconveniences. The administration also apologizes for any inconvenience this interruption may cause and assures that measures are being taken to minimize the impact on residents.
The connection work of the displaced water pipeline is crucial for the completion of the Mithatpaşa Street car park project in Ümraniye. Once the connection is successfully made, the water supply will be restored to the affected neighborhoods. ISKI will closely monitor the progress of the work and ensure that the water supply is back to normal as soon as possible.
