At least 143 people were killed and 360 others were wounded in an attack at the Crocus City concert hall near Moscow, marking the deadliest incident in Russia since the 2004 Beslan school siege. The Russia Emergency Situations Ministry has released the names of the victims that have been identified so far, with the list potentially growing as rescue efforts continue to recover bodies. The attack has left many families and communities devastated, with individuals from various backgrounds and professions among the casualties.

Among the known victims of the attack are Yana Kovalenkovo and Alexei Rudnitsky, who traveled from Yaroslavl to attend the concert together. Kovalenkovo, a mother and business owner, had made significant contributions to her local district, while Rudnitsky was a father of two and an amateur hockey player. Another family, the Figurins, consisted of Igor, Anna, and Zlata, with Anna’s relatives visiting from Orenburg. The family shared a close bond and tragic end, leaving a void in the hearts of their loved ones.

Alexander Baklemyshev, a dedicated rock music fan from Chelyabinsk, made a long journey to Moscow to attend the concert of his favorite band, Piknik. He was described as a loving father with a passion for music. The Volkov family, consisting of Anna, a psychologist, and her husband Mikhail, an educated individual supporting various causes, left behind their two children Anastasia and Luka. The Okishevs, a young couple from Kirov, were passionate about their work and shared a love for art and creativity.

Irina Firsova, an instructor and historian, was known for her cheerful and bright personality. The Sodritsov family, including Yaroslav, Irina, Vladislav, and Anastasia, were a close-knit family with interests in martial arts, teaching, and education. Maksim Verbenin, who attended the concert with his girlfriend Natasha despite health challenges, was described as a happy and enthusiastic individual. Pavel and Kristina Kostyuchenko, a couple from Belarus and Moldova, were devoted parents to their two young sons.

The stories of the victims, such as Irina Vedeneeva and Arseny Roganov, Yulia Chechina, and Svetlana and Alexander Gaikovich, highlight the diverse backgrounds and experiences of those impacted by the attack. The loss of young individuals like Tatyana Repina, Savina Laptev, and Natalya and Svetlana Bondar, as well as seasoned professionals like Irina Firsova and Albina Manyurova, has deeply affected their families and communities. Despite the tragedy, the memories and legacies of the victims will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them, as a reminder of the precious lives lost in the devastating attack.
