Russian attacks across Ukraine resulted in casualties and damage in various regions, including Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, and Sumy. In Kharkiv, Russian forces targeted the regional center with gliding bombs, injuring 16 people and damaging numerous buildings. In the village of Monachynivka, two men were injured and an 88-year-old woman was killed in an aerial bomb attack. The village of Kivsharivka also came under attack, resulting in injuries to a 79-year-old man. In total, nearly 15 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast were shelled by Russian troops.

In Donetsk Oblast, Russian attacks killed one person and injured six others. The town of Chasiv Yar reported one fatality and one injury as a result of the attacks. Additionally, three people were injured in the village of Mykhailivka due to a drone attack. Russian forces also targeted Kherson Oblast, attacking 16 settlements including the regional center of Kherson. One person was injured in these strikes. In Sumy Oblast, Russian forces targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, damaging critical facilities and causing the transfer to backup power.

Ukraine’s Air Force downed 12 Russian drones overnight that were launched from the neighboring Kursk Oblast of Russia and targeting Sumy Oblast. The drones were aimed at critical infrastructure in the northeast of Ukraine, including water supply and hospitals. The attacks on energy facilities in Sumy Oblast resulted in damage to a high-voltage facility owned by Ukrenergo, Ukraine’s state-owned energy operator. The attacks on Sumy Oblast were part of a broader campaign of Russian aggression across multiple regions in Ukraine.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has resulted in continued Russian attacks on various regions, leading to casualties and damage to infrastructure. The attacks in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, and Sumy Oblasts have caused injuries and fatalities, as well as widespread destruction of buildings and critical facilities. The Ukrainian Air Force successfully intercepted and downed multiple Russian drones targeting Sumy Oblast, preventing further damage to vital infrastructure in the area. The conflict highlights the urgent need for support for independent journalism in Ukraine to provide accurate and timely information on the situation to the public.

As the violence escalates in Ukraine, it is crucial to stand in solidarity with the country and support efforts to defend against Russian aggression. By supporting independent journalism and staying informed about the situation on the ground, individuals can help raise awareness of the ongoing conflict and advocate for peace and security in the region. The attacks on multiple regions in Ukraine underscore the importance of international support and solidarity in condemning acts of aggression and violence. Together, we can work towards a peaceful resolution and support the people of Ukraine in their struggle for freedom and sovereignty.
