Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated in a social media post that national and international organized crime organizations, drug traffickers, and gangs that disturb the peace of the Turkish people will not be allowed to breathe, no matter what size they are or what bulletin they are wanted with.

Yerlikaya announced that Sead Dedeic, a national of Montenegro who is wanted with an Interpol red bulletin issued by France for various crimes including drug trafficking, and Marciano Eugene Ruimwijk, a national of the Netherlands wanted with an Interpol red diffusion message issued by the Netherlands, were captured in operations held in Istanbul.

Yerlikaya congratulated the police officers involved in the operations, stating that Sead Dedeic, who entered the country on February 28, 2024 from the Edirne Ipsala Land Border Gate and for whom an Interpol red bulletin was issued in April 2024, was captured in an operation. He also mentioned that Marciano Eugene Ruimwijk, for whom a red diffusion message was issued in April 2024, was also captured upon entering the country.

Yerlikaya emphasized that these successful operations are a clear indication that the Turkish government is determined to combat organized crime and drug trafficking, ensuring the safety and security of its citizens. He also stated that no criminal will be able to find refuge in Turkey, as law enforcement agencies are vigilant and determined to bring them to justice.

The capture of these two wanted criminals sends a strong message to other criminal organizations that Turkey will not tolerate illegal activities within its borders. Yerlikaya reiterated the government’s commitment to continue working closely with international law enforcement agencies to apprehend criminals and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the public.

Overall, the successful operations led by the Turkish police demonstrate the government’s dedication to combating organized crime and drug trafficking. With the capture of Sead Dedeic and Marciano Eugene Ruimwijk, Turkey has shown that it will not allow criminals to evade justice, sending a strong message to other criminal organizations that their illegal activities will not be tolerated. The Turkish government remains committed to working closely with international partners to maintain peace and security within its borders.
