A TikTok user named Charles Biolo has created a recipe for homemade wine using Mountain Dew. His experiment took about a month to complete and he documented the process in five separate videos on TikTok, which have garnered nearly 24 million views. Biolo’s method involves combining Mountain Dew, honey, and yeast in a mead kit and letting it ferment for several weeks.

Biolo initially had doubts about the success of his experiment, but he found that all the sugar in the Mountain Dew was consumed by the yeast during the fermentation process. He also added baking soda to alkalize the mixture and neutralize the preservatives in the soda that could prevent fermentation. He was surprised to find that the concoction began fermenting by day two, and he continued the experiment for four more weeks before adding a clarifying agent for a clearer appearance.

After the wine had finished fermenting, Biolo estimated that it had an alcohol content of 13.9%. Despite his initial concerns, he was pleasantly surprised to find that the wine did not have a harsh taste. He described it as a smooth, citrusy mead with a slight chemical aftertaste. Overall, Biolo’s Dew wine experiment was a success, proving that it is possible to make homemade wine using unconventional ingredients.

Biolo’s TikTok videos detailing his Dew wine experiment have attracted a large following, with viewers intrigued by his unique winemaking method. The videos showcase the step-by-step process of making the wine, from combining the ingredients to the fermentation and clarification stages. Biolo’s success in creating a drinkable wine from Mountain Dew has inspired other TikTok users to try their hand at homemade winemaking using unexpected ingredients.

The popularity of Biolo’s Dew wine experiment highlights the growing trend of DIY winemaking among social media users. With the accessibility of information and supplies online, more people are taking an interest in creating their own wines at home. Biolo’s unconventional approach to winemaking using Mountain Dew as a base has sparked curiosity and creativity among viewers, encouraging them to experiment with their own unique flavors and ingredients in their homemade wines.

Overall, Biolo’s Dew wine experiment is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of DIY winemakers. By thinking outside the box and using unexpected ingredients, it is possible to create delicious and drinkable wines at home. Biolo’s success in making wine from Mountain Dew has inspired others to try their hand at homemade winemaking, showcasing the endless possibilities and opportunities for experimentation in the world of DIY wine production.
