In the country music category, Luke Combs’ song “Fast Car” and Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” were nominated for Country Song of the Year, with Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown’s “Thank God” winning the category. The Country Artist of the Year nominees included Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, and Morgan Wallen. Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo won Best African Music Artist, with other nominees including Burna Boy, Tems, Tyla, and Wizkid.
In the Hip-Hop category, Lil Durk’s “All My Life” featuring J. Cole won Hip-Hop Song of the Year, while Drake took the title of Hip-Hop Artist of the Year. Best New Artist nominations included Doe, Ice Spice, Lola Brooke, Sexyy Red, and Young Nudy. In the R&B category, Metro Boomin’s “Creepin'” featuring The Weeknd and 21 Savage was nominated for R&B Song of the Year, alongside SZA, Beyoncé, and Usher. Victoria Monét won Best New Artist in the R&B category.
Alternative Album of the Year went to Boygenius for “The Record,” and Noah Kahan’s “Dial Drunk” was a nominee for Best Lyrics. The Rock Album of the Year was awarded to Metallica for “72 Seasons,” with Linkin Park’s “Lost” winning Rock Song of the Year. Korea’s K-pop genre also had its own section at the awards, with Stray Kids winning K-pop Album of the Year and FIFTY FIFTY taking the title of K-pop Song of the Year.
