Dr. Julian De Silva, a facial cosmetic surgeon, determined the 10 most handsome men in the world using the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty. This ancient mathematical equation is said to measure true beauty, with the closer your facial structure comes to these numbers, the more beautiful you are. The top spot was awarded to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for his roles in “Kick-Ass” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. The 34-year-old actor scored 93.04% on the Golden Ratio scale, making him the most handsome man on Earth according to science.
Following Taylor-Johnson in second place is Lucien Laviscount, who scored 92.41% on the Golden Ratio scale. Laviscount, a 32-year-old actor known for his role in the TV series “Emily in Paris”, had the highest score for the length and width of his face. Paul Mescal, best known for his role in the TV series “Normal People”, secured the third position with a score of 92.38%. Meanwhile, “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson took the fourth spot with a Golden Ratio score of 92.15%.
British actor Jack Lowden ranked fifth on the list of the most handsome men in the world with a score of 90.33%. George Clooney, known for his roles in “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Gravity”, came in at number six with a Golden Ratio score of 89.9%. Clooney, at 63, is the oldest man on the list but is still considered stunningly attractive according to De Silva. Nicholas Hoult, best known for his roles in the “X-Men” film series, secured the seventh position with a score of 89.84%.
Charles Melton, who gained fame for his role in the TV series “Riverdale”, placed eighth on the list of the most handsome men in the world with a score of 88.46%. Idris Elba, an actor known for his roles in “Luther” and “The Wire”, secured the ninth spot with an overall score of 87.94%. Finally, Shah Rukh Khan, the 58-year-old “King of Bollywood”, rounded out the top ten list with an 86.76% score on the Golden Ratio scale.
De Silva noted that these brand new computer mapping techniques are useful for solving mysteries surrounding physical beauty and are beneficial for planning patients’ surgery. The technology allows for a deeper understanding of what makes someone physically beautiful and the ability to measure these attributes objectively.
