Deputy Governor Vali Tabur, TCDD Transportation Inc. General Manager Ufuk Yalçın, TCDD Transportation Passenger Department President Erhan Tepe, TCDD 5th Regional Director Ali Karabey, TCDD Transportation Regional Director Muzaffer Koç, and representatives from various institutions and organizations welcomed the visitors arriving in Malatya with the “Touristic Diyarbakir Express” at Malatya Station.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Tabur described Malatya as a beautiful city that has hosted many civilizations.
Tabur mentioned that the passengers would have 3 hours to explore the city during the stop and expressed his wish that they would find a reason to come back in the future. He wished them a pleasant journey.
The train passengers danced the halay, a traditional Turkish dance, to the tunes played by local musicians at the station.
The passengers were offered dried apricots, a local specialty, as a treat at the station.
After the 3-hour break, the “Touristic Diyarbakir Express” will continue its journey to Diyarbakir, accompanied by the warm welcome and hospitality of the officials and representatives present at Malatya Station.
