Haileybury Girls College, one of the state’s top-ranked private schools, is consistently successful in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) rankings. This year, the school came in at equal seventh place among the top 50 performers in the independent and Catholic sector. Jing Ru Zhang was one of the top performers at Haileybury Girls College, where students achieved a median VCE study score of 36, with nearly 30 percent of year 12 students achieving study scores of 40 or higher. This success is not surprising for the school, which has high expectations for both students and staff.

Ballarat Clarendon College, with a median study score of 37, was the top-performing school across all sectors for the third consecutive year. The school continues to stand out among Melbourne schools, as it is located in Ballarat. Huntingtower School in Mount Waverley closely followed Clarendon College in the rankings. Three other schools achieved a median study score of 37, rounding out the top five this year: Mount Scopus Memorial College, Yeshivah College, and Ruyton Girls’ School, which returned to the top of the rankings after 10 years. This year, Haileybury principal Derek Scott expressed satisfaction with the school’s performance, highlighting the high expectations and efforts that go into achieving such success.

Haileybury Girls College has a clear focus on maintaining high standards of academic achievement. The school’s commitment to excellence is reflected in its consistent top-ranking performances in the VCE. Principal Derek Scott emphasized that the school’s success is a result of the combined efforts of students and staff, with a strong belief in rewarding hard work and dedication. The school’s tuition fees, set to be just under $40,000 in 2025, reflect the investment made in providing a quality education that yields positive outcomes for its students.

The success of Ballarat Clarendon College, as the top-performing school for three consecutive years, demonstrates that academic excellence is not limited to schools in major cities like Melbourne. The school’s location in Ballarat has not hindered its ability to deliver outstanding results in the VCE. Similarly, Mount Scopus Memorial College, Yeshivah College, and Ruyton Girls’ School have also excelled in achieving a median study score of 37, showcasing their commitment to academic success. These schools have shown that dedication and hard work from both students and staff can lead to exceptional outcomes in the VCE rankings.

Haileybury Girls College’s strong performance in the VCE rankings is a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to maximizing the potential of its students. The school’s emphasis on setting high expectations and rewarding effort has contributed to its consistent success. With a focus on academic excellence, Haileybury Girls College continues to maintain its position among the top-ranked schools in the state. As the school works towards its goal of excellence, students and staff alike are driven by a shared commitment to achieving success in the VCE and beyond.

In conclusion, the success of Haileybury Girls College and other top-ranking schools in the VCE highlights the importance of dedication and hard work in achieving academic excellence. These schools have demonstrated that a focus on setting high expectations, rewarding effort, and fostering a strong learning environment can lead to outstanding results. As schools like Ballarat Clarendon College, Mount Scopus Memorial College, Yeshivah College, and Ruyton Girls’ School continue to excel in the VCE rankings, they serve as examples of how commitment to academic achievement can yield positive outcomes for students. Haileybury Girls College’s consistent presence among the state’s top performers underscores its ongoing dedication to providing a quality education that prepares students for success in their academic pursuits.
