The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued new forecasts indicating that no rainfall is expected nationwide until the weekend. It is predicted that the inland and eastern regions of the country will have partly cloudy skies, while other areas will experience mostly clear skies with few clouds.
A rainy system is expected to affect the entire country starting from the western regions over the weekend.
On Saturday, it is expected that the country will experience partly cloudy and mostly cloudy skies, with rainy weather in the western Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, and western parts of Central Anatolia.
On Sunday, it is predicted that the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean, Southeastern Anatolia, and the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia will have partly cloudy and mostly cloudy skies, while all other regions are expected to have rainy weather. The precipitation will be in the form of rain and showers, with snow and sleet in Eastern Anatolia.
The temperatures are expected to decrease slightly and remain around seasonal averages.
The highest temperature values expected over the weekend are around 6 degrees in Ankara, 9 degrees in Istanbul, 13 degrees in Izmir, 15 degrees in Antalya and Adana, 10 degrees in Samsun, and 5 degrees in Diyarbakir.
