The attack took place on Saturday morning when the assailant entered the monastery and went to the rooms of several monks on one of the upper floors. Witnesses, who were also monks, reported that the attacker entered the rooms and assaulted the monks with sticks and a bottle while shouting, “I am Jesus Christ and I am going to kill the friars.”

The attack has left one victim in critical condition, another in serious condition, and five others with various injuries. As of Sunday, there has been no update on their hospitalization status. The sudden and unprovoked violence has left the victims and their loved ones grappling with the trauma of the assault. The local community has rallied around the monastery, offering support and solidarity during this difficult time. The brutal and senseless attack has left many questioning the motives and mental state of the perpetrator.

The authorities are working to ensure that the attacker faces appropriate legal consequences for his actions. The investigation will delve into the background of the man and his possible motives for targeting the monks. The safety and security of religious institutions and their members are of paramount importance, and measures may be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The community is coming together to heal and seek justice for the victims of the attack. The congregation of the Holy Spirit is grateful for the outpouring of support they have received in the wake of this tragic event.
