Sydneysiders woke up to another beautiful autumn day on Easter Sunday, with clear blue skies, no breeze, and temperatures reaching 27 degrees. Good Friday and Easter Saturday had similar weather, attracting crowds to the city’s beaches, parks, and markets. The Bureau of Meteorology forecasted more of the same for Easter Sunday, with a slight chance of fog as far west as Richmond. Monday is also expected to be warm with clear skies and a high of 27 degrees, with a slight shift towards warmer and windier weather on Tuesday.

While temperatures are unlikely to reach the mid-30s that Sydney experienced earlier in the year, the occasional warm day can still be expected. The Easter weekend provided ideal conditions for the launch of the weekly Green Square Market in Zetland, with Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore attending the market’s inaugural Saturday set-up. However, swimmers at Woolwich Baths were warned of a dangerous blue-ringed octopus in the harbour pool after a young boy picked up the sea creature on Thursday, leading to a precautionary hospital visit.

As Easter Sunday dawned in Sydney, residents enjoyed another day of picturesque weather with clear skies and mild temperatures. The perfect conditions on Good Friday and Easter Saturday attracted large crowds to various outdoor locations in the city. The Bureau of Meteorology predicted a continuation of similar weather for Easter Sunday, with a slight chance of fog in some areas. Monday is also expected to be warm with clear skies, while Tuesday may bring a shift towards warmer and windier conditions as people return to work.

Although the temperatures are not expected to reach the highs experienced earlier in the year, occasional warm days may still occur. The Easter weekend was a great opportunity for the launch of the Green Square Market in Zetland, which saw a good turnout including appearances by Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore. However, there were warnings for swimmers at Woolwich Baths due to the presence of a blue-ringed octopus in the harbour pool, following an incident involving a young boy on Thursday. The precautionary measures were taken to ensure the safety of swimmers in the area.

Overall, Sydney experienced a pleasant Easter weekend with beautiful weather that allowed residents to enjoy outdoor activities. The forecast for Easter Sunday and Monday was for clear skies and mild temperatures, with a slight chance of fog in some areas. While warmer and windier conditions were expected to move in on Tuesday, the weather was unlikely to reach the extreme temperatures seen earlier in the year. Despite warnings about the presence of a dangerous sea creature at Woolwich Baths, the weekend remained mostly peaceful and enjoyable for those in Sydney.
