The search for missing South Carolina man Edmond Bradley Solomon III in Cozumel, Mexico, has been ongoing for a week, with leads drying up and theories running dry. Solomon, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, disappeared after getting off a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. His family, including daughter Savannah Miller, have been desperately searching the island with local law enforcement to no avail. Miller is pleading for continued awareness and media coverage to allocate additional search and rescue resources for her missing father.

Solomon’s family and friends have been sharing missing posters and anecdotes about his helpful nature in an effort to spread awareness. Missing Persons of America created its own missing person flyers in the U.S. to support the official bulletin in Cozumel. The family continues to ask for support in sharing the story and raising awareness to help locate Solomon. Local news outlet Conexión Urbana has been covering the search efforts in Cozumel, urging the coordination and supervision of authorities to support the safety of search efforts.

Miller has been following the directives of local authorities in Cozumel while coordinating a public awareness campaign across social media platforms. A large-scale search involving flyovers and ground searches with a rescue dog named Lune has been conducted in difficult-to-access areas including jungles and surrounding regions. Miller has asked to be shielded from specific search information due to anxiety and emotional distress. She has provided detailed descriptions of her father’s behavior to aid in recognizing him if seen.

Solomon’s daughter described her father’s walking habits and demeanor, indicating that he may appear confident but is actually lost and scared in unfamiliar situations. Family and friends have set up a GoFundMe to support Mimi and Solomon III, who have faced significant challenges, including cancer and dementia, in recent years. On the ground in Cozumel, tips should be forwarded to local police, while those in the U.S. are urged to continue sharing the story and positive sentiments about Solomon to raise awareness and maintain hope for his safe return.

Despite the immense emotional toll and challenges of the ongoing search, Miller remains determined to find her father. She has expressed gratitude for the kindness and support received from those in Cozumel and those who have contributed to the search efforts. The family continues to hold out hope for a positive outcome and remains focused on ensuring that Solomon’s disappearance remains in the public eye to facilitate his safe return.
