The lawsuits against Arounian were separate, with Fulton accusing her of being emotionally abusive and manipulative towards Weston, causing him to alienate himself from his family. Weston alleged that Arounian took advantage of him while he was in recovery from mental health issues. Arounian declined to comment on the allegations at the time.
