According to a statement from the Istanbul Police Department, certain roads will be closed and alternative routes identified tomorrow from 06:00 to 11:00 for the “Istanbul Running Asia Stage Race” event organized by the Traffic Control Branch Directorate. Roads such as the Uskudar Harem coastal road, Hakimiyeti Milliye Street, Paşalimanı Street, Kuzguncuk Market Street, Abdullah Ağa Street, and all streets connected to these routes will be closed to traffic.
As alternatives to these roads, Selimiye Pier, Dr. Eyüp Aksoy, Nuhkuyusu, Gümüşyolu, Beylerbeyi Abdullah Ağa, Hakimiyeti Milliye, Halk, Cumhuriyet, and Dr. Fahri Atabey streets, as well as the D-100 highway, can be used during the event.
In Şişli, certain roads will also be closed to traffic tomorrow due to the “Our Street” event taking place in the district. Streets such as Behram Çavuş Sokak, Civelek Sokak, Ortanca Sokak, Mahmut Şevket Paşa Mahallesi, Çınar Sokak, Kuruçay Caddesi, Gülbahar Mahallesi, Çimen 1 Sokak, Cumhuriyet Mahallesi, Kazım Orbay Caddesi, and Silahşör Caddesi will be closed to vehicle traffic from 11:00 to 17:00.
Alternative routes for drivers include Yay Meydanı, Batı, Kuruçay, Gülbahar, Silahşör, Sıracevizler, Ortaklar caddes, as well as Civelek, Ortaca, Eren, Seyhan, Gürbüz, Ülkü, Kurtuluş, Haşhaş, Mevlüt Pehlivan, Mevlüt Pehlivan Yanı, Galip Bey, Harzemşah, and Feriköy Fırın streets.
These road closures are being implemented to ensure the safety of participants and spectators during the running event and to facilitate the smooth flow of the race. Drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and to use the alternative roads provided to avoid any inconvenience during the specified times. Police officers will be present to assist with traffic management and to ensure compliance with the road closures for the duration of the event.
