Some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic

The 59th Presidential Turkey Cycling Tour will take place on April 28th, Sunday in Istanbul, and the roads to be closed for the event have been announced by the Istanbul Governorship. Starting from 07.00, the traffic flow will be disrupted on various roads including Beşiktaş Square to Zincirlikuyu D-100 south junction, Çatladıkapı lights to Sultanahmet Square, Üçler, Tavukhane, and Nakilbent streets, and Aksakal Avenue along with connecting streets.
In Üsküdar, roads to be closed include Kısıklı Avenue from Altunizade Bridge to D-100 south road, Kuşbakışı Avenue from Petrol-İş to D-100 south junction, Mahir İz Avenue from Altunizade Bridge to D-100 south road, and Tophanelioğlu Avenue to D-100 south road.
In Kadıköy, roads such as Uzunçayır O-1 Connection Road from Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saraçoğlu Sports Complex to Uzunçayır Bridge Intersection and Taşköprü, Fener Kalamış, Ahmet Mithat Efendi, Operatör Cemil Topuzlu, and Bağdat Avenues along with Çetin Emeç Boulevard will be closed for traffic.
Drivers using the Üsküdar direction can use Nuhkuyusu Avenue, those coming from Kadıköy can use Göztepe Bridge, and drivers using routes such as Taşköprü, Ahmet Mithat Efendi, Operatör Cemil Topuzlu and Bağdat Avenues can use Fahrettin Kerim Gökay Avenue and D-100 highway. Traffic from Büyükyalı Avenue will be redirected towards Turgut Özal Boulevard.
Starting from 08.00, Tersane Avenue, Karaköy Square Kemeraltı Street intersection to Refik Saydam Avenue, will be closed in both directions. Additionally, starting from 09.00, roads such as Dolmabahçe Avenue, Beşiktaş Avenue, Çırağan Avenue, Muallim Naci Avenue, Arnavutköy Kuruçeşme Avenue, Bebek Arnavutköy Avenue, Cevdet Paşa Avenue, Yahya Kemal Avenue, Baltalimanı Hisar Avenue, Sakıp Sabancı Avenue, Katar Avenue, and Büyükdere Avenue will have altered traffic flow.
Alternative routes have been designated for these roads including Meclisi Mebusan, Kadırgalar, Bayıldım, Dereboyu, Ahmet Taner Kışlalı, Portakal Yokuşu, İnşirah, Küçük Bebek, Baltalimanı Çayır, İstinye, Sarıyer, Balaban Dere, Poligon, Tuncay Artun, Sanayi, Eski Büyükdere, Maslak Ayazağa, and Talatpaşa Streets, Dulkadiroğulları, Arnavutköy Dere, Trafo, and Ecza Streets, along with Dolmabahçe Bomonti Tunnel and Barbaros Boulevard towards Sarıyer.
Metrobus services will be halted at 10.00 northbound and 12.00 southbound, with the closure of D-100 south road Balmumcu junctions at 10.00, and the redirection of Büyükdere Avenue towards Sarıyer and Barbaros Boulevard to Beşiktaş. Due to the closure of Altunizade-Ümraniye junctions on the north road of D-100, vehicles bound for 15 July Martyrs Bridge will be diverted to Kısıklı Avenue. The south direction of 15 July Martyrs Bridge will be closed at 10.00, resulting in metrobus services being halted at 10.00 for northbound and 12.00 for the southbound direction of the bridge.
Tramway and car ferry services will also be disrupted starting from 10.30 on roads such as Ragıpgümüşpala Avenue, Galata Bridge, Reşadiye Avenue to Ankara Avenue, and Sahil Kenndy Avenue to Aksaray Junction. Additionally, car ferry services in Sirkeci and tramway services in Beyazıt and Kabataş will be halted in both directions from 10.30 until the end of the event. IETT General Directorate will adjust bus schedules for stops along the route at 10.30 with alternative routes including Vatan, Millet, Fevzipaşa, Horhor Streets, Onuncu Yıl Boulevard, and Atatürk Boulevard.
