The Governorship announced that the Gabar Mountain region within the boundaries of the Güçlükonak and the Cudi Mountain region within the boundaries of the center of Şırnak, Cizre and Silopi districts have been declared special security zones from April 25 to May 9. This decision was made in order to ensure national security, public order and safety, prevent violent incidents and prevent any adverse situations that may occur. The coordinates of these regions were shared on the Governorship’s website, and it was emphasized that it is important for citizens not to enter these areas day and night for their safety.

The decision to declare Gabar and Cudi mountains as special security zones comes as part of the Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones Law. This is a common practice employed by governments to enhance security measures in various regions to prevent any potential threats to national security and public safety. The announcement by the Governorship also serves as a warning to the residents and visitors of these areas to adhere to the restrictions and regulations in order to avoid any potential risks or dangers that may arise during the specified period.

The declaration of Gabar and Cudi mountains as special security zones reflects the ongoing efforts of the Turkish authorities to maintain peace and security in the region. These areas have been prone to various security threats and incidents in the past, making it crucial for the government to take preventive measures to ensure the safety of the residents and maintain stability in the area. By designating these regions as special security zones, the authorities aim to deter any potential criminal activities or terrorist actions that may pose a threat to the well-being of the people living in these areas.

The Governorship’s announcement also highlights the importance of cooperation from the public in maintaining security and order in the region. By urging citizens to avoid entering the designated zones during the specified period, the authorities emphasize the need for vigilance and compliance with security measures to prevent any potential risks or disturbances. It is essential for the residents and visitors of these areas to follow the instructions provided by the authorities and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the law enforcement agencies to support the efforts to maintain security and peace in the region.

As the special security zones in the Gabar and Cudi mountains are in effect for a limited period, it is crucial for the residents and visitors of these areas to be aware of the restrictions and regulations in place during this time. By refraining from entering these zones and cooperating with the authorities, individuals can contribute to the overall security and safety of the region. The announcement by the Governorship serves as a reminder of the ongoing security challenges faced by the authorities in these areas and underscores the importance of collective efforts to ensure peace and stability for the residents of Şırnak, Cizre, and Silopi districts.
