Shelomi Sanders, daughter of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders, is planning to transfer out of the CU Buffs women’s basketball program. The 5-foot-6 redshirt freshman guard joined the Buffs midway through the 2022-23 season after being with her father and two brothers at Jackson State for the first semester of her college career. Shelomi appeared in five games for Colorado this past season, totaling 11 minutes on the court. Her standout moment came when she made a 3-pointer at Air Force and also recorded an offensive rebound and a steal in a game against UT Arlington.

It was reported by BuffZone’s Brian Howell that Shelomi Sanders would be entering the transfer portal along with fellow Colorado bench players Brianna McLeod and Mikayla Johnson. Shilomi, along with her brothers Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, had originally been at Jackson State before Shelomi transferred to Colorado. While with Jackson State, Shelomi appeared in two games for the Tigers before making the move to the Buffs midway through the season. Her time with the Buffs saw her mostly coming off the bench and contributing in a limited capacity, with her notable performance coming in the form of a 3-pointer and contributions in other statistical categories in games against Air Force and UT Arlington.
