In a recent interview with Alex Salmond for Turkish Tea Talk, Sharon Stone became emotional when discussing her admiration for peacemakers and individuals she looks up to in her role as a global humanitarian. The 66-year-old actress expressed her deep love and admiration for these courageous individuals, stating that she would stand with them and even risk her life for their cause. Stone highlighted the significance of working alongside her heroes after 35 years in the industry, feeling that she had finally found her place among like-minded individuals who understood and supported her.

Reflecting on her career and accomplishments, Stone shared her experience of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize in 2013 for her work with individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. She also acknowledged the importance of mental health and emphasized the need for empathy in today’s society, especially in light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Stone discussed her passion for painting, revealing that she spends a significant amount of time creating art in her Los Angeles mansion. Her artwork has gained recognition, with her first painting selling for $30,000, showcasing her talent and commitment to her craft.

Stone’s love for painting stems from her childhood, where she enjoyed creating art and expressed her desire to pursue her passions freely. She shared her fondness for Japanese artists and their disciplined approach to storytelling through art. The actress also addressed gender equality in the industry, advocating for fair treatment and equal opportunities for women in Hollywood. Despite her diverse range of characters, Stone noted that many people still associate her with her iconic role in “Basic Instinct,” depicting the challenges of moving beyond a specific on-screen persona.

In addition to her career in the entertainment industry, Stone revealed her lifelong admiration for actor Robert De Niro and her dream of working with him. She eventually realized this dream when she was cast as his wife in the film “Casino.” Looking ahead, Stone expressed her desire to pursue quality roles in Hollywood and potentially visit Scotland in the future. Host Alex Salmond offered to assist her in mastering a Scottish accent for any potential projects, highlighting the actress’s ongoing passion for challenging and diverse roles in the industry. Through her candid interview, Sharon Stone showcased her dedication to humanitarian work, artistic endeavors, and her continued pursuit of meaningful projects in Hollywood.
