He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat, a red and blue shirt, blue jeans, a black jacket, and black and white shoes. A command post was initially set up at Wilson Avenue and Beverly Hills Drive but has since been moved to the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road as Gray was last spotted in this area.
During a news conference on Wednesday evening, Insp. Jeff Bangild, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, informed reporters that officers are treating the area around Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road as a new starting point in the search for Gray. Bangild mentioned that new information is coming in and that there have been sightings of Gray that police are now following up on. The Toronto Police Service has initiated a Level 1 Search, allowing for more resources to be allocated for a greater search area and to follow up on all information and tips received. Despite Gray’s increasing stage of dementia severity, he is still agile and capable of moving freely around the city. Bangild believes that Gray may be hungry and thirsty after being out for a considerable amount of time.
