Actor Scott Cohen and his wife Anastasia Traina were involved in a high-speed car chase over the summer that resulted in a head-on collision, leaving them both injured. The incident occurred in Brooklyn, New York, as they were on their way home when their car was hit by the suspect in the car chase. Cohen suffered a broken sternum, while his wife’s arm was injured. They both expressed feeling lucky to be alive after the incident, as they thought they were going to die.

The car chase began when a male driver was pulled over by the police for a routine traffic stop in Astoria, Queens. The driver then took off with the police in pursuit, eventually colliding with Cohen’s car in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The suspect’s car burst into flames, and he fled on foot, exchanging gunfire with the police. It remains unclear whether the suspect was ever apprehended. Following the accident, Cohen shared photos of himself in the hospital and his totaled car on social media, emphasizing the fragility of life and the sudden changes that can occur.

Despite his injuries, Cohen was able to attend the red carpet premiere of “The Penguin” along with the show’s cast, including Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, and others. “The Penguin” is a spinoff series from “Batman” that follows the character Oz Cobb as he tries to take over the criminal world in Gotham. Cohen expressed excitement about being part of the star-studded cast, highlighting his childhood dreams of being Superman or Batman. He believes in making an impact through his work as an actor and wants to evoke emotions in the audience.

Cohen is best known for his role as Max Medina on “Gilmore Girls,” and he mentioned that he is often recognized for his portrayal of Lorelai Gilmore’s suitor. He views television as a medium for making an impact on viewers and aims to evoke emotions and feelings through his performances. Cohen will be hosting a weekend workshop on acting in NYC on October 5 and 6, showcasing his passion for the craft and his desire to share his knowledge and experience with aspiring actors. Despite the challenges he has faced, Cohen remains grateful for the love and support of friends and family after the car accident.

The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of life and the importance of cherishing each moment. Cohen’s injuries, as well as his wife’s, have been a physical and emotional challenge, but their resilience and perseverance have enabled them to continue moving forward. The car accident may have been a traumatic experience, but it has also brought into focus the strength of their relationship and their ability to overcome adversity together. Scott Cohen and Anastasia Traina are grateful for their survival and are determined to heal and recover from their injuries, with a renewed appreciation for the preciousness of life.
