Windy City Rehab’s Alison Victoria is ready to bid a fond farewell to her Chicago dream home.
The HGTV star confirmed in the latest issue of Us Weekly that her property has been listed on the market for $2.9 million more than two and half years after she transformed the space.
“Having 7,000 square feet to yourself seems opulent and dreamy, but in reality, it became a bit lonely, so I decided to downsize and find something that suited my lifestyle better,” Victoria, 43, exclusively told Us. “I travel so much for work and wasn’t really there to enjoy it as much as the space deserves to be enjoyed.”
Now, Victoria hopes someone can live in the home full-time and “enjoy every square inch of sexiness and sophistication.”
“When I purchased the property and had it as my office and design center for years, I would always sit in there and think about how dreamy this space would be as someone’s home,” she told Us. “When I had the opportunity to turn it into that, my dreams truly came true.”
In 2023, fans watched the Briefly Gorgeous Productions founder transform her office and design center in Chicago’s West Logan Square into the ultimate live-work space on the HGTV special Windy City Rehab: Alison’s Dream Home.
As her business empire continues to grow with the launch of Sin City Rehab, Victoria can’t help but reflect on all the happy memories she created in her “dreamy” Chicago space.
“When I was there, I literally never left,” she said. “Everything you could ever want all under one roof makes that very easy to do.”
The next lucky buyer will experience plenty of special touches, including a bar that feels like a “speakeasy in Paris.”
After stepping into the master bedroom, the next homeowner will enjoy a main bathroom that feels like you are escaping to Victoria’s favorite resort in Mykonos, Greece.
“The heated marble herringbone floors spill into the wet room floors with an accent wall of raw stacked stones and the most beautiful blush, neutral tones,” she described.
And whether snow days or heat waves are your preferred weather, Victoria believes all guests will enjoy the home’s atrium fireplace.
“Living in Chicago is tough and rough during the winter months, so I wanted to create an indoor space that felt like you were always outdoors,” she said. “The heated black-and-white marble floors and the custom spool married so beautifully with the original brick walls. The fireplace is the perfect spot to cozy up while the snow falls on the eight massive pyramid skylights above.”
