Kicking off the 2025 Girl Scout cookie season, the brand announced this would be the last year customers can indulge in two flavors that taste like the perfect campfire.
“At the close of the 2025 cookie season, two beloved cookie flavors, Girl Scout S’mores® and Toast-Yay!®, will be retired,” a Girl Scouts of the USA spokesperson announced in a press release.
The news, delivered on Jan. 7, came as a shock to many people who’ve snacked on the sweet treats since their debut.
S’mores were introduced in 2017 as “crunchy graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling,” while Toast-Yay!, which came around in 2021, was known as “full of French toast flavor” dipped in icing.
The cookie cast-off isn’t going down easy with fans.

While many customers bereft over the bad bakery news, there are still several delectable flavors they can choose from.
The young ladies in green will be selling cookie flavors including Thin Mints, Samoas®/Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs, Adventurefuls, Caramel Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Sandwich Do-si-dos, Lemonades, Lemon-Ups, Toffee-tastic and Trefoils, until mid April.
Although Girl Scouts didn’t introduce any new flavors in this batch of cookies, customers can anticipate more sweet selections to come.
“We routinely reevaluate our cookie lineup to make room for new innovations. Discontinuing Toast-Yay! and Girl Scout S’mores® may lead to something new and delicious,” a spokesperson hinted.
