These airlines aren’t taking off with their customers.
AirHelp Inc. has released its 2024 AirHelp Score report list of the best and worst-performing airlines.
The rankings are made based on customer complaints, on-time arrival and departure data, plus feedback from passengers from over 54 countries on the quality of food, comfort and crew service from January through October.
Tunisair was rated the worst airline in the world, ranked at the bottom of the list at No. 109. They’re among several low-cost transport companies with major issues.
Buzz, Nouvelair, Nouvelair and El Al Israel Airlines rounded out the list of the five worst airlines trying to get people where they need to go.
But even North America has some issues. Jet Blue and Air Canada made the list of the top 50 worst airlines.
There are some travel companies with happy customers.
Brussels Airlines was rated the best company to book your travel. The airline pushed Qatar Airways to No. 2 after holding the top spot since 2018 and had a major upgrade from being ranked No. 12 last year.
United Airlines, American Airlines, and Play also topped the list as the best airlines in the world.
Travelers may be surprised to hear United Airlines and American Airlines are rated so highly considering the major flight disruptions that severely impacted domestic airlines this past year.
But both have made the top 10 list since at least 2022.
Meanwhile, Delta Airlines dropped from No. 11 down to No. 17 likely due to its claim processing score because of the issues caused by the July tech outage, but its on-time performance and customer opinion rankings haven’t changed much.

AirHelp Chief Executive Officer Tomasz Pawliszyn said he hopes the list “encourages airlines to continuously listen to passenger feedback.”
