“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian and the people living in Gaza,” Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares told Euronews in an exclusive interview following recent remarks by US President Donald Trump suggesting neighbouring countries should take in Palestinians.

Albares argued that Spain needs to maintain its own rate of increase in defence spending. “We should look at absolute figures and the absolute figures say that Spain is the eighth net contributor to defence within NATO if we don’t look at the percentage, but the real actual money that we are spending,” he said.
