Harrowing video shows two terrified men and their dog trapped in their home as flames from the Pacific Palisades wildfires close in around them.
In scenes like something out of a nightmare, massive flames rage just outside of the LA home’s windows as the unidentified men helplessly watch on, not knowing what to do.
“You’re going to be OK. You’re going to be OK, alright?” the man filming reassures the terrified dog, his voice shaking as he pats its head.
“Oh s–t,” the man says in the clip, turning his camera to the fire outside.
The inferno, audibly roaring in the heavy winds, engulfs nearly everything in view on all sides of the home as smoke, ash and other debris fly by in the hellish scene — appearing to leave them with no escape.
It was not immediately clear if the men and the dog escaped safely, according to Fox 11 Los Angeles.
At one point, the other man in the home asks the cameraman if they’re going to pack their bags and get away.
“Don’t worry about that, dude. Holy s–t,” he responds.
The pair confirmed that they had turned off their gas, eliminating the risk of an explosion. The cameraman is asked by his friend if they should open a window, which he quickly shuts down.
“Don’t open anything,” he says.
The Pacific Palisades Fire began on Tuesday and rapidly spread to 3,000 acres overnight. It has been burning out of control as a major wind storm, with some gusts up to 100 miles per hour in the mountains, fans the flames.
At least 30,000 people — including Hollywood celebrities — are under evacuation orders.
The mass exodus caused serious traffic jams that forced some desperate residents to flee on foot and ditch their cars in the street.
The vehicles blocked emergency vehicles from getting through and a bulldozer was seen removing abandoned cars from the roadways.
“Many” homes and other structures have been destroyed, California Gov. Gavin Newsom told reporters as he declared a state of emergency Tuesday night.
Nearly 300,000 Californians are without power as the fires continue to wreak havoc in the area.
