This accelerated fears that the restaurant chain could fall out of favor with customers, Beene said.”The ‘Buy One, Get One for $1′ promotion and extension of the $5 value meal deal are not just about increasing revenue, but also about attempting to lure back in customers who have moved away from the brand over the last year,” Beene told Newsweek. “In essence, the deal is more of a marketing attempt than it is trying to save customers’ money, even though it should do just that.”
