Bild report that the former Gunner was unable to stand without help and smelled of alcohol.It is claimed that the stench of alcohol on the 55-year-old was so strong that officers could smell it through his window. Lehmann is then understood to have struggled to find his driver’s licence and instead showed his ID card before eventually finding his licence.It is now being reported that Lehmann failed a breathalyser test and was sick on at least two occasions – one of those coming after he staggered to the roadside. Lehmann was taken to the Munich Institute of Forensic Medicine for blood tests and the public prosecutor’s office requested a fine of £60,000. Lehmann was accused of using a chainsaw to saw through the roof beams of a garage on his neighbour’s property in the summer of 2022.The verdict came after Lehmann appealed the initial ruling that saw him handed a suspended prison sentence and a fine of more than £350,000.
