Choi helped Qualtrics scale its business and the company raised $1.55 billion in an initial public offering in 2021 before an acquisition in 2023.
Choi also worked for Danaher, 3M and Deloitte.

Choi joined Typeform’s board of directors in February. He takes over as chief executive from Joaquim Lechà.

— Charley Daitch, former director of energy and water for Amazon Web Services, is now CEO of Rowan Digital Infrastructure. Daitch, who is based in Seattle, joined Rowan in October 2023 as chief commercial officer.
Denver-based Rowan designs and builds sustainable hyperscale data centers for global tech giants.
“Truly excited for the amazing opportunity that Rowan has to deliver sustainable infrastructure at speed to our customers that are leading the digital revolution,” Daitch said in a LinkedIn post.
Daitch was at AWS for nearly eight years where he helped expand its network of data centers by managing renewable energy, power infrastructure, utility contracts and water systems.

— VertueLab announced that Allison Arnold joined its board of directors. The longtime nonprofit is based in Portland, Ore., and supports climate tech innovation through investments, accelerators and other programs.
Aina Abiodun, VertueLab’s president and executive director, called Arnold “a tireless climate warrior in our region and beyond.”
Arnold is currently director of pipeline and portfolio for E8, a Seattle-area angel investor organization backing climate tech startups. She was previously an impact investing manager for VertueLab.
— NanoVation, a Vancouver, B.C., biotech company, appointed David Main and Zachariah Jonasson to its board. Main is president and CEO of Notch Therapeutics, and Jonasson is chief financial and business officer at Absci and co-founder of Convergent Ventures.
On Tuesday NanoVation also announced that it closed a funding round for an undisclosed amount that was led by Convergent Ventures.
The company creates medical therapies using lipid nanoparticles that can deliver nucleic acids such as RNA to cells. It recently shared news of a partnership with Novo Nordisk to develop treatments for cardiometabolic and rare diseases.

— Seattle-area engineer Manoj Shende is now chief technologist for BusPatrol, a provider of school bus stop-arm safety technology.
Before joining Virginia-based BusPatrol, Shende was vice president of advance technology, cloud engineering and product management for the autonomous vehicle company Aptiv. Shende was previously at ServiceNow for nearly a decade, and at Microsoft for more than 12 years, leaving the role of principal PM manager for Office products.
“Joining BusPatrol at this exciting time is a unique opportunity to contribute to an essential mission — making the world a safer place for children,” Shende said in a statement.
