Swedish police said on Thursday the shooter that killed 11 in the central city of Örebro may have attended the school where he opened fire. The gunman killed 11 people and injured five at the Risbergska school for adults, in what Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson called the worst mass shooting in the country’s history. Authorities did not formally name the suspect, which Swedish media identified as 35-year-old Rickard Andersson.Police confirmed he was found dead lying next to a large amount of unused ammunition, as well as three weapons and licenses for four hunting rifles. Three women and two men that underwent surgery for serious injuries following the massacre were in stable condition, authorities said. The shooting began on Tuesday afternoon after many students had gone home following a national exam. Local media reported that students scrambled for cover as the gunman began opening fire, and sheltering under whatever they could find. “Those were the worst hours of my life. I did not know if I would get shot there and then, or in 10 minutes. You simply waited,” Hellen Werme, 35, told the Expressen newspaper.
