Suits creator Aaron Korsh held an impromptu Q&A on X recently where he fielded several questions from fans regarding the new series. Gabriel Macht is already set to briefly reprise his role as Harvey Specter when the new show premiers, but one fan asked the question on everyone’s mind when they asked Korsh if the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and her co-stars Patrick J Adams and Sarah Rafferty will also be making an appearance.
“Remains to be seen,” Korsh responded on X. “I am open.”
Markle’s Rachel Zane was a fan favorite on the show, but Markle ultimately left the series after her relationship with Prince Harry became more serious.
The NBC series remains her last credited acting role.
Korsh defended the new series in another social media post as several fans questioned how involved the original cast will be.
“It seems like people are all wishing it was the originals back. I expected this and can’t blame them,” he wrote. “I can only hope they give #SuitsLA an open minded try. If they do, I really believe they will grow to love it.”
The new NBC series stars Stephen Amell as a former New York prosecutor who has reinvented himself in Los Angeles, where he keeps a powerful roster of clients. But with his firm hitting a breaking point, he realizes he’s going to have to go back to his old ways to save his practice. Bryan Greenberg, Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt also star in the series.
For now, Markle fans will be able to catch her in her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which premieres on the streamer March 4.
