The Age will publish a comprehensive list of high-achievers then.The delay did not stop schools from celebrating their achievements, including Mount Scopus Memorial College.Mount Scopus’ entire graduating class undertook a scored VCE, and 29.6 per cent of students achieved an ATAR of 95 or above.Colleges duxes Jake Golshevsky and Jeremy Borsky achieved ATARs of 99.90.Principal Dan Sztrajt congratulated the cohort of “active and caring students” for their VCE results.“We are incredibly proud of their achievements, and thank their teachers for their tireless support and encouragement,” he said.Scotch College recorded excellent VCE results, with two duxes achieving an ATAR of 99.90.Credit: Joe ArmaoTen boys from Scotch College scored top ATAR results, and have been awarded the duxes of the school.More than half of the cohort obtained an ATAR of 90 or more, and one in three students scored an ATAR of 95 or more.The median ATAR result was 90.4, and there were 16 “perfect” scores of 50 across 12 VCE subjects.Principal Scott Marsh said the results were a testament to the character of the Scotch College students.“Your hard work, perseverance and discipline have clearly served you well,” he said. “The Scotch family are proud of your efforts and most importantly, who you are as young men.”Twenty-five Camberwell Grammar students achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher, placing them in the top 1 per cent of the state.Thirty-five per cent of students achieved a rank of 95 or higher, while 54 per cent achieved a score of 90 or higher.Camberwell Grammar’s median ATAR score was 90.85, and its average ATAR score was 85.4.Independent school Ballarat Clarendon College.Credit: Simon SchluterThe Ballarat Clarendon College class of 2024 has achieved some impressive ATAR results, including dux Micah Hickingbotham with 99.75.Ninety students – more than half the cohort – achieved above 90, which places them in the top 10 per cent of the state.Of its 174 year-12 students, 74 per cent achieved an ATAR above 80, placing them in the top 20 per cent of Victorian students.The median ATAR score – that is, Clarendon’s middle student in the cohort – achieved 91.2.Clarendon’s median study score is 37, and the percentage of study scores above 40 is 35 per cent.Ballarat Clarendon has topped the list of high-achieving schools for the past two years.Deputy principal Greg Ashman said the results affirmed that their approach was effective.“They are a testament to the fact that regional students can and do achieve excellence,” he said.Start the day with a summary of the day’s most important and interesting stories, analysis and insights.
