Jorginho signs new deal Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has signed a contract extension, meaning he will remain at the Emirates for another season. Jorginho joined Arsenal from Chelsea on an 18-month deal last January and is delighted to have extended his stay. “It’s been really positive, because I felt part of something big straight away,” he told club media. “I felt involved and really in a good place. It’s not always like that, so when you feel something like this, it’s something important. I’m really happy to stay, because it’s a privilege to be a part of this family. My family is happy, we are really well settled and there’s more to come!”

Szczesny linked with return According to The Standard, Arsenal are considering a shock move for former goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny this summer as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsdale. Ramsdale is expected to leave at the end of the season after losing his place as first-choice to David Raya. The report states that Arsenal are keen to replace Ramsdale with another homegrown goalkeeper and Szczesny, who came through the club’s academy, fits the bill. The 34-year-old made a total of 181 appearances for the Gunners before leaving to join Juventus in 2017.
