Make your ‘do a hair more exciting.

Strands of tinsel are becoming a hot commodity in the hair space, a trend inspired by the Oscar-nominated film “Anora.”

While the glittering hair accessory has been around for years — it first exploded in popularity during the early aughts and 2010s in the festival scene — the fad has bubbled up yet again as everyday wear thanks to Tinseltown.

Also called “fairy hair,” tinsel-adorned tresses are booming on TikTok due to the popular flick, which users are calling “Anora fever.”

On the app, cinephiles are proudly boasting their new tinsel-adorned hair, admitting they were influenced by the movie and declaring that hair tinsel is so “back.”

“Literally just made an appointment 3 days after watching the movie,” one person wrote online, while others gushed that they “need” the look.

“Anyone else have the same experience watching ‘Anora’ in the cinema?” creator Samantha Andrew said in a TikTok video. “Within the first 15 seconds I was like, ‘Right, I’m buying hair tinsel.”

“Spent the whole movie frantically googling ‘hair tinsel for curly hair’ on my phone,” admitted one viewer.

“Am I giving Annnniiiiiiii yes or noooo??” another user wrote on a video showing off her new tinseled hair, referring to the titular character of “Anora,” played by Mikey Madison, who goes by Ani.

While content creators shared DIY tutorials on how to apply tinsel at home, experts recommend seeing a specialist to fasten the glittering strands to the hair — although it will likely only last one to two weeks.

For “Anora” — which follows a whirlwind romance between a sex worker and the son of an oligarch — director Sean Baker wanted Madison’s character to “stand out but didn’t want her to be overtaken by anything,” the movie’s hair department head Justine Sierakowski told Vogue.

“But he used a word like glittery or sparkly that triggered something in my head,” she said of her tinsel eureka moment, which was inspired by Beyoncé and “The Real Housewives” star Adrienne Maloof.

“I just thought it looked amazing on her long, beautiful dark hair and felt like it would be something cool to see in the lights in the club while she’s dancing.”

Similarly, for young beauty enthusiasts, it makes them feel like the “center of attention,” they tell Dazed.

“It’s an automatic mood lifter for me and everyone around me,” content creator Millie Noble told the publication. “People always approach me about my hair and it makes them happy, which makes me happy! I feel like a unicorn.”
