Reasons why Mel B was removed from the Spice Girls’ WhatsApp group

Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B, revealed that she was kicked out of the Spice Girls WhatsApp group for talking about a potential reunion tour to celebrate the group’s 30th anniversary. The singer shared this information during an interview on ITV’s “This Morning” with presenter Alison Hammond. Brown mentioned that she often gets kicked out of the group for speaking out about their plans, but she is excited about the milestone and wants to celebrate the fact that they are all healthy and still in touch.

The Spice Girls, composed of Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, and Mel B, became a global sensation in 1994 with hits like “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life”. Over the years, the group sold over 100 million albums before disbanding in 2000. They reunited briefly in 2007 for a tour and again in 2012 for a performance at the London Olympics. Fans have been eagerly anticipating another reunion, especially since it’s their 30th anniversary, but it seems there are mixed feelings among the members about going on tour.

During an appearance on “The Jonathan Ross Show”, Brown hinted that something was in the works for the Spice Girls but couldn’t share any details to avoid getting kicked out of the WhatsApp group again. However, Victoria Beckham later dashed hopes of a reunion tour by stating in an interview that while they do communicate and are considering doing something to celebrate, it won’t be more than a dinner or lunch gathering. Beckham emphasized her focus on her fashion and beauty brands, indicating that there will not be any performances in the future.

Beckham expressed pride in the achievements of the Spice Girls and shared her interest in empowering people through her fashion and beauty endeavors. She mentioned that there have been rumors about tours and performances, but clarified that she has no intention of returning to the stage. Instead, she would like to find another way to celebrate with the other members of the group in a more intimate setting. Meanwhile, Mel B is currently promoting her memoir, titled “Brutally Honest”, as she continues to participate in interviews and discussions about her time with the Spice Girls.

While fans may have been hopeful for a reunion tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls, it seems that conflicting opinions among the members are causing uncertainty about the possibility. Despite Brown’s excitement and hints about upcoming plans, Beckham’s statements about focusing on her fashion and beauty businesses suggest that any celebrations will likely be more low-key than expected. The group’s legacy continues to influence pop culture, and their impact on the music industry is still felt today as fans eagerly await any news about future endeavors from the iconic girl group.
