In Çorum, a person was injured when wooden pieces fell from the minaret of Ulu Mosque due to strong winds. The strong winds caused trees to fall onto roads and power lines, leading to power outages and road closures. Fallen trees and debris containers also damaged parked cars in the area.
In Kastamonu, strong winds knocked over trees and lighting poles, causing damage to buildings and parking lots. An apartment building parking garage collapsed, damaging the cars parked inside. Due to a flying roof landing on the Kastamonu-Ankara highway, the police took security measures on the road, and some neighborhoods experienced power outages.
Residents in Kastamonu reported damage to their properties and vehicles due to flying rooftops during the storm. The local authorities mentioned that 72 incidents related to roof collapses, tree falls, and subsequent damages had been reported, with a total of six people sustaining minor injuries in the affected regions.
In Çankırı, strong winds and sporadic showers affected the city center and multiple districts, causing damage to buildings and public infrastructure. Several people were lightly injured in different incidents throughout the region due to flying objects during the storm.
Amasya and Sinop also experienced similar consequences of the severe weather. In Amasya, two buildings had their roofs blown off, causing damage to parked cars. The authorities were quick to respond and assist in clearing debris and ensuring safety in the affected areas, while Sinop’s Boyabat district faced disruptions in electrical services due to a fallen tree damaging power lines.
