Each week, Alexa curates the best fashion drops, hotel openings, restaurant debuts, and celeb-studded cultural happenings in NYC. This guide offers a curated selection of the city’s top experiences, from shopping to dining to entertainment. This week’s luxury list includes The St. Regis’ famous Champagne sabering service delivered to your doorstep, a collaboration between Gap and a California-cool brand, and a gathering of the design elite in New York City.

Alma Allen, a self-taught sculptor, may not be a household name, but he has gained a cult following with A-list collectors like Beyoncé and Katy Perry. His third solo show at Kasmin Gallery features intriguing pieces in bronze and stone created in Mexico City, where he has been based since 2017. Allen’s sculptures were previously installed at Rockefeller Center’s central plaza, showcasing his unique talent and artistic vision.

The St. Regis is known for its nightly ritual of sabering a bottle of Champagne at dusk. This dramatic and glamorous experience is now available off-property, with a St. Regis butler arriving on a Vespa to provide everything needed for sabering on site. Guests can choose their Champagne and even opt for sabering lessons. Residents in the Hamptons can enjoy bubbly delivery with food pairings from Yann Nury NYC. This luxurious experience is available for booking via email.

A collaboration between Dôen and Gap introduces a 51-piece capsule collection just in time for summer. This collection celebrates individuality and timeless femininity, offering a range of clothing and accessories for all ages. The ad campaign features model Lily Aldridge, her sister Ruby, and twin sisters Levia and Zahar, showcasing matching looks for kids. With prices starting at $20, this collection combines California cool with classic Gap style.

New York City is a design lover’s paradise, especially during NYC x Design, an event featuring hundreds of design events, exhibits, talks, and tours across all boroughs. The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) at the Javits Center is the largest event, with the last day open to the public. From May 19 to 21, attendees can explore the latest trends in design and creativity. The full schedule of NYC x Design events offers something for everyone interested in design.

Quarters, a new home furnishings shop in a historic Tribeca building, offers a curated selection of furniture, art, and decor spread over two loft-like floors. Created by the team behind In Common With design studio and lighting brand, this 8,000 square foot space is styled like a luxurious private residence. Every item, from furniture to pantry goods, is available for purchase without needing an appointment. Visitors can explore and shop for unique pieces to elevate their home decor.
